The Mercedes-AMG CLE 646 Special Edition is an extraordinary vehicle within Mercedes-AMG’s exclusive Mythos Series. Limited to just 30 units, this high-performance coupe is meticulously handcrafted in Affalterbach and was already sold out before its world premiere.
The basis for the impressive driving dynamics is an overall concept consistently geared toward performance: The further-developed 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine delivers 646 PS (475 kW) and 850 Nm, with power transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels. At the same time, the vehicle’s weight was reduced by approximately 170 kilograms through extensive use of lightweight construction. The suspension, brakes, and aerodynamics were also developed specifically for uncompromising performance on both the road and the racetrack. The 60-millimeter-wider track, extensive carbon components, and a specially tuned 4-way coilover suspension provide the technical foundation for high cornering speeds and maximum precision.
Technology Meets Lightweight Construction
For a vehicle of this caliber, the wheels are far more than just a design element. The exclusive 20-inch forged wheels were specially tailored to the CLE 646’s requirements and come in sizes 11.0 J x 20 on the front axle and 12.0 J x 20 on the rear axle. Fitted with 305/30 ZR20 tires in the front and 335/30 ZR20 tires in the rear, they transfer the vehicle’s enormous power to the road. The tire technology used is based on a further development of the technology found in the Mercedes-AMG ONE.

From the technical design and engineering to the actual manufacturing, the goal was to meet the specific requirements of a strictly limited-edition AMG high-performance vehicle.
